Black Jack's Crossing
Described as the “Best Golf Resort in Texas”, Black Jack’s Crossing was designed by Ryder Cup Captain and Hall of Fame Inductee Lanny Wadkins. With scenic views of the Big Bend and Rio Grande, the unique mix of mountain, canyon, and desert golf create a unique Texas golf course experience.
At over 7400 yards from the back tees the “Texas Sized” golf course can be a serious challenge for even the best of players. However, with 3 other tee boxes—the shortest just more than 5000 yards—everyone can find a comfortable distance off the tee and enjoy Black Jack’s Crossing.
Equestrian Center
Conveniently located on property at Lajitas Golf Resort directly across from Lajitas Mesa, the Stables & Equestrian Center at Lajitas Golf Resort offers a variety of services including trail rides, basic or advanced riding clinics and boarding. We strive to match horse and rider so that the trail riding experience is enjoyable for any and every skill level.
2.5 Mile and 5 Mile Trail Rides
These rides traverse Comanche Creek and travel along historic trails that provide breathtaking views of Mesa de Anguila, Lajitas Mesa and Mexico
Sunrise And Sunset Trail Rides
Ride through the Chihuahuan desert while enjoying spectacular views during those special times of the day. The sunset ride has an extra option to add a fruit and cheese tray with a drink of choice (wine, beer, or soft drinks).
Note: Riders must be 7 years of age or older, at least 4 feet tall, 40 lbs minimum with a max weight of 240 lbs. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. All riders under 18 must wear a helmet.

Agave Spa
Agave Spa is a beautiful oasis in the “high desert”. A variety of spa treatments such as massages, facials and body treatments are available and designed to nurture and relax guests using herbal ingredients and stones native to the Big Bend Region. We invite you to our desert oasis, the Agave Spa, where you can choose from a variety of services to meet your individual needs. Relax and Rejuvenate!

Shooting Activities
Five Stand Sporting Clay Shoot
One of the finest five stands in the West. This shotgun shooting game using sporting clays, allows shooters of all abilities some of the most exciting target combinations available. One round consists of 25 shots, with groups of shots being taken from each shooting stand.
Cowboy Action Shoot
So you want to shoot like a real cowboy? Learn from the experts. Our cowboy shooters know their way around any kind of weapon of the Old West and will show you how it’s done. Our town of Stargazer Springs is full of nostalgia and awaiting targets. You will walk through town shooting a single-action pistol, a side-by-side shot-gun, and a lever-action rifle.
Combat Course
Ready to get your commando on? Try your hand at our recently redesigned combat course and tactical range. The layout of the course is a simulation of what soldiers would do in an active field environment. Weapons used here are the AR-15 rifle, Glock 9mm pistol, and a 12 gauge tactical pump shotgun as you experience making your way through this simulated combat atmosphere with interactive targets. Minimum age is 13.

Vortex Rifle Experience
Introducing a new long range shooting experience at Lajitas Golf Resort! This is a precision rifle shooting experience for all skill levels. Our instructors will safely guide and train you on precision shooting out to 1,000 yards! Guns, ammunition, transportation to the resort are included, snacks and beverages are provided on site. Minimum age is 12.

Conveniently and centrally located on the Hotel Boardwalk is our fitness center. The facility is available during the following hours:

Today, the Yates Longhorn Museum is housed for public viewing, free of charge, at the historic Trading Post building at Black Jacks Crossing Golf Club. We welcome you to come in and find out more about this critical piece of Texas legacy on your self-guided tour.

Big Bend National Park encompasses more than 800,000 acres in southwest Texas. For more than 1,000 miles, the Rio Grande forms the international boundary between Mexico and the United States; Big Bend National Park administers approximately one-quarter of that boundary. Within the 118 twisting miles that also define the park’s southern boundary, the river’s southeasterly flow changes abruptly to the northeast and forms the “big bend” of the Rio Grande. Big Bend National Park has national significance as the largest protected area of Chihuahuan Desert topography and ecology in the United States, it needs to be on your “Bucket List!”

Mountain Biking
Our Mountain bike excursions are a great way to take in the environment and scenery of the desert. Whilst we also love hiking to enjoy a wilderness experience here in Big Bend, we really love how much ground we can cover on a mountain bike, I am sure that you will too! This is a 8 to 15 mile long ride that will get your heart rate up, but you don’t need to be an expert. We go at your pace and we know all the good spots. We also provide water and snacks to keep you going. This is a fun trip with awesome views. We provide the bike and the gear. You come and make the memories.
Stand Up Paddle Board
Standing up is the idea, but most people sit down and treat it like a kayak. Depending on the wind direction it can be a work out, just like it would be in a canoe or kayak, only easier. Depending on the length and width, SUP boards are very stable, we use longer boards for that reason. You can still fall off though, but no need to worry about having to flip over a capsized canoe that’s full of water. Just jump back on and keep going. We will help you get back on if you need it, most people can figure it though.
The duration of our SUP trip depends on the flow of the Rio Grande which depends on another river in Mexico, the Rio Conchos which has a confluence with the Rio Grande in Presidio, TX. The duration is also determined by how much you want to paddle or just float. This experience requires active participation. Expect it to take 2-3 hours for most people.

Come experience the border from a boat, float between Texas and Mexico on the Rio Grande! Offering single day to multi-day trips in Big Bend National Park & Big Bend State Park. Rafts, canoes or kayaks are available depending on the water level.
